Selected teams and individual athletes can take part in various competitive sports events and thus represent the Free University of Berlin (FU) and represent it in the sporting competition.

Registration for and posting to competitions and tournaments takes place exclusively through the Central University Sports Center (ZEH) of the Free University of Berlin.

The aim of ZEH is to give teams and individual athletes the opportunity to take part in local, regional, national and international university competitions. The focus is not only on achieving the best possible placements in the official comparative competitions, but above all on collective experience, social learning in sport and networking on a national and international level. In addition to many popular sports-oriented events, competitions of the General German University Sports Association (adh) can also be attended, depending on qualifications.

In the context of sending them to relevant competitions, the University Sports Center would like to particularly encourage volunteering among students. Active participation in the entire selection and posting process is an absolute requirement.

The Free University of Berlin is a member of the General German University Sports Association (adh). In addition to the events of the adh, various competitions take place at the state level and also within the framework of university sports at the FU.
